Farroni Brothers Museum

On March 11, 2007, we had the opportunity to get a personal tour of an incredible collection. The Farroni brothers are well known though out the racing community and still have the bug as strong as ever. They still own the AA/FD that held the Thompson track record of 210.76 m.p.h in 1966 and beat another well known racer, Don Garlits. Pretty impressive!
To say we were in awe would be a understatement, not knowing what to expect, we were amazed at the pieces of history they have housed in four huge buildings.
After the tour of the buildings, we were treated to pizza and a chance to take in what we all couldn't believe we just had a chance to see.
It was great to hear the stories about the Farroni family that raced together, and all the support from their mother and father. If you ever run into Frank or Rich, take a moment to introduce yourself, you will be amazed at what you can learn from them. We would like to thank Frank and Rich for their hospitality and for taking the time to share their collection and stories. We all love the sport of racing but agree, it's the people that we get to meet and talk with that is the most rewarding, we are fortunate to have the Farroni Family as fans, more importantly, friends.
Thank You Frank and Rich.

Below are just a very, very small sample of pieces they have.

We were greated by Frank and Rich with the sign in the office.

Yes, that is the Darrell Gwynn/George Stinbrenner T/F car!

One of the many complete Funny Cars in the collection.

This is the original AA/FD that went 210.76 m.p.h. and beat Don Garlits back in 1966.

Brand new, never mounted Skuza F/C body.

Another complete front engine rail.

Complete motor, signed by Tony Pendregon.

Ready to be fired up and put down some laps.

Once again, Thank you to the entire Farroni Family for inviting and sharing with us their toys.

  • Time Bandit Team,

Thank you for posting the pictures of our race cars--what a treat to see them on the Web. We were honored to have you visit with us, and we're looking forward to seeing the rest of the crew and your wives. Just let us know when you're ready, and we'll be waiting!

    Thanks!
